VARIASI GAYA BAHASA SINDIRAN DALAM DEBAT KETIGA PEMILIHAN PRESIDEN INDONESIA 2024 (Language Style Variations of Satire In The Third Debate of The 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election)

Abstract


Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, there are various political phenomena that occur and cause many pros and cons. One of them is the third presidential debate, which has attracted a lot of public interest. This study aims to provide a description of the use of satirical language styles contained in the third presidential debate in the 2024 general election by using the theory of satirical language styles consisting of six types, namely irony, cynicism, sarcasm, satire, antiphrasis, and inuendo. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data in this research are all words and sentences containing sarcasm in the third debate of the 2024 Indonesian presidential candidates. The technique used in data collection is the documentary study technique, which utilizes audiovisual and digital materials. The technique used in data analysis is the data reduction technique, which involves identifying, presenting, and describing data in the form of satire language. The results of this study show that there are 24 utterances containing sarcasm language style, which are evenly distributed among all types of sarcasm language style, consisting of six types of sarcasm language style.

Menjelang Pemilihan Presiden 2024, terdapat berbagai fenomena politik yang terjadi dan menimbulkan banyak pro dan kontra. Salah satunya adalah adanya debat presiden ketiga yang banyak mengundang ketertarikan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi pemakaian gaya bahasa sindiran yang terdapat dalam debat ketiga calon presiden pada pemilihan umum tahun 2024 dengan menggunakan teori gaya bahasa sindiran yang terdiri atas enam macam, yaitu ironi, sinisme, sarkasme, satire, antifrasis, dan inuendo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kata dan kalimat yang mengandung gaya bahasa sindiran di dalam debat ketiga calon presiden Indonesia 2024. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah teknik studi dokumenter dengan memanfaatkan audiovisual and digital materials (materi digital dan audiovisual). Teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah teknik reduksi data, mengidentifikasi data, menyajikan, dan mendeskripsikan data dalam bentuk gaya bahasa sindiran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 24 tuturan yang mengandung gaya bahasa sindiran yang tersebar ke semua jenis gaya bahasa sindiran yang terdiri atas enam jenis.
